We started the day with completing the Language Arts/Spelling Exam.
In Science, we did some review work by completing the Plant Life Cycle Posters.
Math was a review/study period.
In Reading, the students had their second exam for the day.
Social Studies was used for a review period as the exam will be tomorrow.

HOMEWORK:

2) study for Math (exam Thursday)
3) No Reading Log necessary this week (see below)

NOTICES:
1) The Reading Log will not be counted towards your homework grade this week, but please feel free to continue your Reading Log, and I will still award a DOJO point each day read for this week.
2) Friday is Show and Tell, students can bring anything they find interesting to share (ex. souvenir, gift, art, etc.)
3) please return Spelling Test Booklets
4) I will also need each Notebook (LA, Reading, Science, Social, and Math) and workbook (English, Journeys, Math, Social) as I will be reviewing them for the report cards. Please bring them to school every day.

Thanks so much.

Sept. 25, 2015

Well, it's a Happy Friday for all! (except maybe for the students as it is Exam week next week).

In Language, we chatted about our plans for the weekend and wrote sentences on the board. Then we found the nouns in the subject of each sentence.
In Science, the students worked hard at their life cycle posters.
In Math, the students worked in small groups and played a dice game to practice their addition skills. Some games appeared to get pretty intense.

In Dance, the appear to be well on their way to perfecting their routines.
In ECA, the students enjoyed their last elective of the quarter.

HOMEWORK:
1) LA & Spelling Exam, and Reading/Phonics Tuesday
2) Social Studies Exam Wednesday
3) Eat Moon Cakes
4) BBQ
5) Relax

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy the extra day off. Please drive carefully if you are heading out of town.

Happy Moon Festival!

Take care,
Mr. Yaremchuk
