Dec. 3, 2015

Happy Thursday everybody!

We started the day with Language Arts, as usual, and used adjectives to compare 2 or more nouns. We looked at a Halloween picture and made sentences comparing the students.

In Math, we used four different strategies to multiply when 4 is the factor.

During Science, the students listened very attentively while the Final Group Project was explained. There will NOT be a written final exam in Science this quarter. Rather, the students will work in groups to create an ecosystem for an endangered animal using colored clay. They will research information and show this animal's ecosystem, the community they live with, along with other requirements that show their knowledge of material learned in quarter two.  They will work on this project for one week, and then present their ecosystem to the class next Friday, December 11. They will be graded using a rubric.
We were using this website for research: http://www.worldwildlife.org/species/

In Reading, we continued to read "Young Thomas Edison" and found the main ideas with supporting details in different paragraphs.

HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 50
2) English p. 69
3) Spelling Test tomorrow

NOTICES:
1) Please return the Field Trip Permission form, along with $100NT tomorrow.
2) There are still numerous tests/quizzes that haven't been returned yet. When you are finished reviewing them, please hand them back. I have sent out a message today on Dojo as a reminder.
Thank you.

Have a great evening!
