December 1, 2015

Yikes, December!!  As the time keeps flying by, a friendly reminder to you about exam week starting next week for minor subjects, and the week following that is major exam week, and then two weeks of Winter vacation.

But, for now we can focus on today's work:

Language Arts - identified adjectives that tell 'what kind' and 'how many.'
Science - explained how environmental changes affect living things.
Math - used arrays to multiply.

Reading and Phonics - introduced to four more key vocabulary words, and practiced au/al/o/aw sounds.
Social Studies - compared bar graphs to learn about earthquakes.
ECA - decorated our classroom Christmas tree and sang some Christmas songs

HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 48
2) Science p. 192-193

NOTICES:
- students were given a permission form for a Field Trip to the Art Museum for Wednesday, December 16. We will leave the school at 9:00am and walk to the Museum, and return to school in time for lunch at 11:30am. Cost is $100NT.  This will be a nice break for the students and their brains after working so hard during the exam weeks. Please return the permission form by this Friday, December 4th.

- If you haven't yet, please return any quizzes that have been sent home in the past week, when you're finished with them.
Thank you.

Have a splendid evening!

Mr. Yaremchuk
