It was a nice sunny Wednesday.
We switched things up a bit today, and moved the Science quiz to the end of the day to allow a bit of study time. That meant we had a double period of Language Arts/Reading. It was great to practice what our schedule will look like after Chinese New Year. The students had 2 sessions of Daily 5 and were introduced to some new Word Work activities.
In Math, we reviewed the quiz, and trudged on learning about fact families and how to solve a division sentence using a multiplication table.
In Social, we debriefed about yesterday's field trip and talked about culture, and then discussed branches of government. We then had some good questions regarding courts and judicial systems.
HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 74
2) Word Work - please use 8 spelling words for the activity you chose
NOTICES:
- Costumes for the performance may require a white long sleeve shirt if it's cold out. Their legs are fine.
- tomorrow we have a rehearsal for the Chinese New Year performance, and Friday the performance will begin at 2:00pm.
- please return the spelling booklets and Social Studies quiz when you're finished corrections
Have a great evening.
Mr. Y
PS - I posted more pictures and a couple videos from the Field Trip on yesterday's blog. Have a looksie.
