Aug. 18, 2015

Terrific Tuesday has come to an end at school. The day began with Mass and everyone joined in on the singing and praying. After Mass, we had a really busy day in our homeroom, but managed very well. Here's what we did today:
- began a science investigation
- worked with numbers to 99,999
- retold parts of the story (first, next, finally)
- learned about people in communities
- learned about descriptive writing (more information in Homework)

HOMEWORK:
1) Science p. 27-28
2) Complete a topic web. Students will think of a topic they want to write about, and brainstorm ideas about this topic. This is the first step in the process of writing a descriptive. They will continue with this topic everyday and we will slowly work towards writing a description in the next week or so.
Here's an example of what their topic web can look like:

Students must have 5-6 ideas in their web, to a maximum of 10 ideas.

That is all for today. Have a great evening!

Mr. Yaremchuk

PS - thank you for returning your choices in for electives. They will begin this Friday, and you will find out shortly which one you have been placed in.
