Aug. 20, 2015

Thursday has come to an end. On Thursdays students only have me for 3 core subjects, and here's what we did today:
  • Language Arts - continued to work on, and organize ideas for their descriptive writing
  • Science - learned how to use data from investigations, and how to display this data (students worked in groups and created graphs, see pictures below)
  • Math - quiz - the students did very well on their first quiz

HOMEWORK - Spelling test tomorrow, please study!
                         - Journeys p. 7

Reminder that the parent teacher meeting on Saturday begins at 8:30am. It looks like the typhoon is moving away from Taiwan, but if the meeting is canceled because of the typhoon, you will be notified. Please bring any questions you have regarding the 2015-16 school year, and I'll be happy to answer them.

Also, PE day tomorrow. Students may wear their casual uniforms, and bring an extra PE shirt to change into after as it is rather hot outside.

Finally, electives begin tomorrow and they all appear to be great ones. Each student was informed which elective they have been placed into. It should be a fun way to end the week.

Enjoy your Thursday evening.

Mr. Yaremchuk
