For tomorrow we have something new this year. Every second Friday of the month, students are able to wear their own casual clothing to school. However, it is also PE day. Since we have PE in the morning, students can wear their PE uniforms to school, and then change into their personal clothing after PE. Please ensure the clothing is appropriate. Thanks.
Today we had some fun activities including a silent story guessing game. Students acted out a story and the viewers had to guess the story. They had a lot of fun.
In the first unit of Science, we will be learning about the proper method to carry out an investigation and experiment, learning what tools scientists use, and how they display their data. Today, we made an experiment with paper airplanes to see what kind of plane will fly the best.
TODAY'S HOMEWORK - Journeys p. 2 and Science p. 13. We ran out of time to complete the lesson on subjects of a sentence, so Journeys p. 2 can is not mandatory homework. The students can try, but we will still work on it together tomorrow.
Also, please write the date at the top of the page of your homework.
One final thing for today, please put a name sticker on each workbook or notebook that gets sent home. It helps with quicker recognition. Thank you very much.
I know there are a lot of little things us teachers keep requesting from you this week, but it will slow down shortly. It's been a great first week getting to know the students and I think my first year here is a lucky one with the tremendous students we have in Grade 3. They really are Terrific!!
