Although this would be a beautiful winter day in Canada, I don't think wearing 3 shirts, a jacket, toque, thick socks, and gloves all day is comfortable teaching attire.
We managed to get through the chilly day. The classroom was warmer than it was outside. After Assembly, we described the basic structure of government and completed some review work in the workbook.
In Math, we used arrays to relate multiplication and division.
For Reading and Phonics, we built our Read to Someone stamina and discussed the story "Jump!" in our Journeys text.
ECA was dedicated to making a campaign speech to run for class President (just for fun). We heard the speeches from the President-want-to-bes and will vote tomorrow in Social.
HOMEWORK:
1) Social workbook p. 22-23
2) Journeys p. 149
3) 20 jumping jacks anytime you feel cold
NOTICES
* Social Studies quiz on Wednesday that covers Chapter 3 (p. 73-98). *
That's all for today. Stay warm. Have a good evening.
