Jan. 5, 2016

Happy Tuesday everyone!

We began our busiest day of the week so far. As I mentioned yesterday, we are learning the new Daily 5 routines in Language and Reading, so today we focused on how to choose the right book to read (I-PICK) and also practicing how to Read to Self.
After discussing the final project grades with the students, we began our next unit. For the next unit, we will be going through it rather quickly as we will be learning about fast and slow land changes, which is what we touched on in Social Studies (geography). Today we focused on identifying and comparing different landforms.
Math consisted of using different ways to multiply when 3 is the factor.
In Social Studies we identified community leaders and reason for having a government.

In ECA, we read the letters we received from our pen pals, and compared the things they wrote about.

HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 56
2) Science p. 213-214
3) Reading Log - we need to try get back into the habit of RED (Reading Every Day)

REMINDERS:
- please wear your PE uniform tomorrow

Have a wonderful evening.
