Welcome back to school, and I hope everyone had a wonderful break. The kids were all rather quiet when we had Assembly today. It took a few minutes to get our brains wrapped around learning again. It's ok, me too.
Today we began a new unit in Social Studies about government and community leaders.
In Math, we will be continuing to learn multiplication and we learned how to find patterns using a multiplication table.
For Reading, we began to learn about the Daily 5. I will provide more information this week, in a letter, regarding this new structure to learning. It will be something exciting that the students will enjoy!
In ECA we took care of a few things (homework assignment, cleaning Christmas decorations, handing out the last raffle prize that students used Dojo Points for, and a birthday party).
Happy Birthday Marianne, and thank you for the lovely cupcakes.
HOMEWORK:
1) Language Arts Writing - students need to write 6-10 sentences about their favorite day/event over the winter break, and also what may have not been as fun.
2) Reading Log - please continue your Reading Log (Dojo Points for this week)
REMINDERS:
- Please return final exams, we will be reviewing them this week
Have a great evening, and enjoy beginning your New Year's resolutions.
Mr. Yaremchuk
