Nov. 10, 2015

What a beautiful morning to begin our Community Service work project on making the campus more attractive. Students worked in their houses and worked together very well to paint a section of the wall. Nice work Blue Team!! And of course, every other house did an amazing job, too.

After the painting and scrubbing the paint off our hands, we had Math. The students learned about pictographs and also got to practice making their own graph.

For Reading, we began to read, "What Do Illustrators Do?" and discussed why the illustrator included those pictures in the story.
We reviewed some vocabulary words, discussed how people adapt to their environment, and the purpose of a harbor.
In ECA, we practiced our Reader's Theatre.

HOMEWORK:
1) Math. p. 39
2) Spelling sentences - please choose the other 7 words to make a sentence

NOTICES:
- We will be working in the garden tomorrow, so please bring a mask and a hat if you wish.
- Please return the newsletter regarding how many from your family will attend the Family Day lunch.

Thank you, and have a terrific Tuesday evening.

Mr. Yaremchuk
