Today............was another terrific day for our Third Graders.
The first period was Language Arts as usual, and we formed the present tense of verbs with different endings (ch, sh, x, s, z, y).
Science was next, in which we went over the Science quiz (please return it on Monday). After reviewing the quiz, we began the new Unit on Ecosystems and Interactions and tried to distinguish between environment, habitat and ecosystem.
In Math, we continued to practice finding the range, mean, mode, and median of data.
We had Reading and Phonics to end the day. Defining the other 4 new vocabulary words from the new story was our objective.
HOMEWORK:
1) Math survey - the students will need help from you PARENTS, and other family members. They will ask you a simple survey, and then complete the data table and answer other questions. Thanks for helping out.
2) Spelling test sentences - please choose 6 words and write a sentence for each word.
3) Spelling test - study, study, study
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- I will not be in school tomorrow as I will be competing in the Taroko Gorge Half Marathon Saturday morning. My fellow coworkers will be helping me by covering LA, Science, Math tomorrow.
- Next week is Community Service Week. We will begin some ongoing projects that will continue throughout the year (painting and gardening). We ask that students please bring in a mask, some old clothes, and/or an apron to wear during painting and gardening for Monday. Thank you.
- There will still be a blog posted tomorrow.
Enjoy your evening.
Mr. Yaremchuk
