This morning in Assembly, we recognized all those participants who competed in the Spelling Bee on Saturday. They all earned participation points towards their house. Everyone did very well, so congratulations!
After Assembly, we used intermediate and cardinal directions to find places on maps in Social Studies.
We began a new Unit in Math and determined if an event is certain, likely, unlikely, or impossible. Students took turns using the interactive whiteboard.
We saw the importance of using more expression while reading, and practiced it during our Language Festival rehearsal.
HOMEWORK:
1) Social Studies p. 37
2) Math p. 42
NOTICES:
- Social quiz on Wednesday - please be familiar with the key vocabulary, physical and human features, cardinal directions, and waterway features.
- students will be bringing home the Reader's Theatre scripts to practice for the Language Festival. Also, we will be working on some small costume/clothing ideas to help make their character stand out more (ex. turkey or fish mask). So if you have something at home that could be useful, please pass it on. Thanks.
Have a good night.
Mr. Yaremchuk
