Apr. 20, 2016

We are over the hill for the week.

This morning was entertaining for the students as members of the Police Service came to speak to the students. Some students were lucky and walked away with prizes for participating and answering questions. Some were lucky enough to be handcuffed to each other.

After the police visit, we dove in to Math and measured length in centimeters, decimeters, meters, and estimated with kilometers.

In Science, we demonstrated how water can change into different states.

Social Studies was exciting as the students began to think about Futura! We got to read about the type of house, car, food, and fun plan they will live in for our economics unit.

ECA: Easter Egg hunt!!  Good job students for finding the eggs, and showing a lot of good teamwork in helping others find the eggs as well.

HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 97
2) LA sentences - please write 5 sentences using an object pronoun, and 5 sentences using "me."
3) Language arts exam on pronouns

NOTICES:
- tomorrow is library, so please bring your card and books
- spelling test on Friday

Have a great evening.

Mr. Y
