As we do every Monday, we began this morning with Assembly. This week is our turn for the morning readers and lunch prayers. The students that won the Easter Egg Art contest were brought up on stage for all to see. Congratulations everybody, and especially our Terrific Third Grader, Fiona.
Once we returned to our classroom, we shared our weekend activities and dove into some Word Work for the Daily 5. Our focus lesson when reading today was about trying to read smoothly to gain a stronger fluency.
A quiz on measurements took up our time in Math.
Finally, in Social Studies, we had a good discussion/debate about jobs, money and family. We learned about the importance of making a budget, and the students made a budget for their Futura life.
HOMEWORK:
1) Reading - Comprehension questions - the students wrote the questions in their notebooks.
