After learning how to write an invitation in Language Arts, our Terrific 3rd Graders put on their engineer hats and began constructing a straw tower from a plan they designed. They were given 50 straws and tape. Their objective is to use the design process and build a tower at least 50cm high, and it must have a flat top so we can put weight on it. The initial building phase went very well...........
a After Science, we rounded dollars in Math.
At the end of the day, we learned the difference between fact and opinions, and made a list of them about Cardigan Jones.
HOMEWORK:
a) Spelling test tomorrow - please study
b) Math quiz tomorrow - again, it will be an oral quiz where students will show me answers using the toy money
c) Math workbook p. 16-17
d) Language Arts - complete invitation to a party
NOTICES:
Tomorrow is the 2nd Friday of the month, which means students can wear their personal casual clothes. But it is also PE day, so please bring PE clothes to change into.
