Sept. 2, 2015

Half the week is finished, and the students have been doing a good job.

Today's busy day went like this:
  • LA - students did a writing conference and read their descriptive writing to a classmate for extra ideas
  • Science - continued to learn about the design process and students had to present "their invention" and what problem it solved

  • Math - learned the American coins: nickel, quarter, and half dollar, and practiced counting money
  • Reading - practiced the VCe phonics rule and also found rhyming words
  • Social - quiz time
HOMEWORK:
a) Sentence writing: Choose 5 spelling test words (that you did not use yesterday) and write a sentence of at least 6 words
b) Math workbook p. 13

Reminder: The company will be here on Friday to spray for mosquitoes as it appears the weather will be suitable; therefore, the students will need to be picked up BY 4:00pm on Friday.

That's it, that's all for today.

Enjoy the sun!!!
