Welcome back from another nice, long weekend. I hope you all had a chance to relax, visit family, and have some fun.
Today is the start of the second quarter. We began with Assembly and watched the Choir sing and dance very well.
In Social Studies, we learned about time lines, and began making our own time line as well.
In Math, the students completed their Chapter project, in lieu of a chapter quiz.
In Reading, we talked about collections and started the new story, "Max's Words."
HOMEWORK:
1) Social Studies workbook p. 11
2) Spelling words Sentences - choose 5 spelling words and write a sentence for each.
3) Reading Log - this week is back to normal. Completing the daily reading counts toward your homework grade and also earns you a Dojo point.
NOTICES:
a) We are having some technical issues with the report cards, so unfortunately they should be handed out tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience.
b) Well, the time has come to announce that the Terrific Third Graders got an amazing 95% positive Dojo point total in Quarter 1. It was agreed upon in August that if they achieved their goal of 95% or higher, they will be rewarded with a pizza party (day to be announced soon). Congratulations to the students for all their hard work!!!
Have an awesome Monday evening!
Mr. Yaremchuk
