Today was a great day with a mix of reviewing for quizzes, learning new material, an experiment, and decorating our classroom for All Saints Day.
- Language Arts - we had our quiz on nouns
- Science - we made a model of a physical adaptation and experimented to see if a sticky tongue or a wet tongue is better for catching insects
- Math - reviewed subtraction rules and practiced problems.
- Reading - reviewed Max's Words - students answered many comprehension questions and reviewed vocabulary to prepare for the quiz tomorrow.
- Social Studies - practiced reading a landform map, and each student made a landform map of Taiwan
HOMEWORK:
1) Social Studies p. 33
2) Spelling Words sentences - choose 6 words and make a sentence for each
3) Study Max's Words - feel free to read the story and count it as your Reading Log also. The quiz will feature vocabulary knowledge, and a couple comprehension questions.
IMPORTANT REMINDER:
- Morning prayers begin at 8:30am, followed immediately after with Language Arts at 8:35am. Please have your child arrive at the classroom by 8:25am so he/she is able to unpack his/her bag, prepare for class, and be ready to learn. Thank you.
Have an excellent Tuesday evening!
Mr. Yaremchuk
