Oct. 26, 2015

Welcome to the last week of October. I hope you all had a great weekend.

This morning at Assembly, our Terrific Third Graders split into two groups, and each took a turn doing a little skit to show a little something about being a good friend. One group showed good qualities, and the other showed not so good qualities. Their acting skills, along with the rest of the DISK students' attentiveness, made it easy to recognize which group displayed good friendship qualities.  You can watch their performance here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J21WuZB03w0&feature=youtu.be

After Assembly, we discussed the difference between 'climate' and 'weather' and how they can affect the growing seasons in places.

In Math, we worked on problem solving questions. The students had random Halloween themed questions to answer.

The students got to work together in small groups to determine the sequence of events in a Journey's workbook selection.

HOMEWORK:
  • Math p. 34
  • Journeys p. 77 and 80
Reminders:
Language Arts quiz tomorrow - please review: possessive nouns, exact nouns, and the rules on how to change a singular noun to a plural noun.

Reading and Phonics quiz Wednesday

Have a nice evening!

Mr. Yaremchuk
