This was what the Terrific Third Graders were up to today:
- Language Arts - replaced vague nouns with exact nouns
- Science - continued to learn about animal adaptations, more specifically defense adaptations
- Math - was switched to an Art class as the students missed Art for the Rosary rehearsal
- Reading - answered comprehension questions from Max's story, and then worked in small groups to create a story with students adding one word at a time like Max and his brothers
- Social Studies - classified and learned about different bodies of water
HOMEWORK:
1) Science - draw a new animal from your imagination and give it a name. Please show the adaptations your animal has in your drawing. Also, explain the adaptations your animal has. For example: My animal has a long tail that it uses to pick up food.
2) Social Studies - flip flap book - choose any 4 from: mountains, plateau, valley, plains, lake, pond, river, stream, waterfall. Write the definition and draw a picture inside the book.
REMINDERS:
- tomorrow is the field trip to the Science Museum for lower elementary. We will leave at 8:30am, so please ensure your child is at school by 8:20am the latest.
- please have your child bring his/her national health insurance card
- he/she can also bring a small bag to carry a water bottle, and a small snack, if needed
Thank you, and have a nice evening.
