The students received their report cards today. Please note that we found some errors (still dealing with the technical issues), so if you find an error and have a question or concern, please let me know. Thanks.
Here's what went down in Grade 3 home room today:
- Language Arts - made nouns plural by following some rules
- Science - observed our bean plants and completed experiment questions
- Math - used subtraction rules to find differences (new Unit)
- Reading and Phonics - finished Max's Words and completed a story map
- Social Studies - worked on personal timeline
1) Spelling Words sentences - choose the other 5 words that were not chosen yesterday
2) Math workbook p. 28
3) Reading Log
*Starting this second quarter, the students will be required to complete homework corrections slightly differently for homework, or throughout the day if they have spare time. For homework that includes written sentences, it may be required to re-write the sentence (indicated with a RW), or write a word numerous times (indicated like this: umbrella x5). This will promote learning from their mistakes. *
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- The Terrific Third Graders will have a PIZZA PARTY this Friday, October 16th because they achieved their Dojo goal of 95% good behavior points. We will choose the pizza on Thursday.
- If a students enter the Spelling Bee, the house they belong to is rewarded Dojo points for participation, and more points given if they win the competition (or any other extra curricular activity they are involved in).
